This policy explains how Lava Socials ("we", "us") collects and uses your personal information when you use this website, use our client portal or get in touch with us.

Who we are

What we collect

• Details you give us directly, such as your name, email address and phone number, when you submit an enquiry or audit request, book a call, or contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp.
• Basic technical information your browser sends automatically, such as your approximate location and device type, used only to keep the site secure and working.

How we use it

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, provide and manage our services, and keep in touch about your project. We will not send you marketing you did not ask for, and we never sell your data.

The client portal

If you are a client, you sign in to our client portal at lavasocials.com/portal. To run it we hold your name and email address for signing in, your business details, and the content, reports, messages and invoices that belong to your account.

Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn accounts you connect

If you connect a Facebook Page and its Instagram professional account in the portal, Facebook gives us the Page's name and ID, an access token for the Page, and the Instagram account's ID and username. We store the access token encrypted. We use this access only to publish the posts you have approved or scheduled with us, at the time you chose, and to show you how your posts and accounts are performing. If we connect a LinkedIn Page for you, we use it in the same way.

We never sell this data or use it to advertise to you. Besides the platform itself, it only goes to the providers listed below that help us run the portal, such as the AI tool that drafts the summary in your monthly report, and only to do that work for us. You can disconnect at any time from the Social page of the portal, which withdraws our access and deletes the token straight away. Our data deletion page explains every way to remove your data.

Third party services

To run this site, the client portal and our service we use a small number of trusted providers: Netlify to host them, Neon for our database, Clerk for portal sign in, Cloudflare to store files, Resend to send portal emails, Google Calendar and Google Meet when you book a call, Klaviyo for the emails that follow a free scorecard, GoHighLevel to manage enquiries, Metricool to schedule some posts, Anthropic for the AI drafting tools in the portal, GoCardless when you pay by Direct Debit, and Google Fonts to display the site. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. To do so, email us at contact@lavasocials.com. For data from connected social accounts, see our data deletion page.
